Lot 333

Lot Description

Two Chinese export teaspoons, each having a faux bamboo stem, one with dragon terminal and the other with circular panels containing character marks, both impressed 'T C', possibly for Tuck Chang & Company Ltd (Shanghai, circa 1890-1915). Together with four Japanese demitasse spoons, each with stylised flower-head bowl and novelty terminal to include a rickshaw and pagoda, all marked 'silver', two further marked 'sterling' with maker's mark 'Chiyodaya'. Gross weight 1.73 ozt (54 grams). (6).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

All the spoons appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches, all in keeping with their age and general use. Slightly heavier wear to the bowls of the Chinese spoons but they have still faired well. Rubbing to some of the marks but still legible. With a fitted case although the Chinese spoons are too big to fit.
