A late nineteenth century French silver-gilt shell dish, having an open scrolling foliate handle detailed with berries and the whole raised upon three leaf feet. French hallmarks including Minerva guarantee, maker's mark for Henin & Vivier plus another indistinct. Length measures 10 inches (25.5 cm), weight 11.98 ozt (372.9 grams).
