Lot Description

A mid-nineteenth century American silver teapot, of baluster form profusely decorated with flower-heads and scrolls framing the dual engraved cartouches, the handle and spout modelled as a continuous branch and the whole raised upon four bracket feet modelled as further flowering branches. Marked Eoff & Shepard and with further retailer's mark for Ball, Black & Co, New York beneath. Height measures 8 inches (20.25 cm), weight 17.25 (536.8 grams).
