A selection of five George III silver table spoons by Hester Bateman to include an Hanoverian example with lace-back, and four Old English examples with initialled and crested terminals. Hallmarked Hester Bateman, London 1775, 1776, 1779, 1781 and 1782. Gross weight 8.95 ozt (278 grams).

In slightly varied state. All displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Rubbing to the heels, particularly the lace-back with loss of decoration and definition. Dents to some bowls. Hallmarks distorted to two, others clear and legible.
