Lot Description

Two similar pairs of George III silver sugar tongs by Hester Bateman, decorated with wrythen engravings, initialled and acorn bowls, hallmarked Hester Bateman alongside partial hallmarks. Together with two pairs of nineteenth century silver sugar tongs, hallmarked London 1835 and 1872. Gross weight 5.8 ozt (181 grams). (4).
