Lot Description

A selection of various George III and later silver spoons, to include an Irish Celtic Point serving spoon, having a bright-cut three feathers emblem and initialled elliptical cartouche, hallmarked John Shiels (or Sheils), Dublin 1790, length measures 9 4/8 inches (24 cm), a George III silver caddy spoon having bright-cut decoration, London 1796, a William IV Fiddle pattern mustard spoon, having an engraved crest and initial to the terminal and further initial to the shoulder reverse, Peter Walsh (or Phillip Weekes), Dublin 1832, a mid-Victorian Irish Fiddle pattern teaspoon having an engraved crest, plus a cased set of six 1930's golfing teaspoons. Gross weight 6.36 ozt (197.7 grams). (5).

The lot is in overall good to fair condition. The serving spoon with general light rubbing and surface scratching and minor distortion to the hallmarks but still clears and legible. The caddy with heavy tarnishing and rubbing to the hallmarks and so maker's mark is not visible. Other items all in fair condition with general light wear and hallmarks are clear.
