Four George III and later silver sugar tongs, comprising an Irish George III Fiddle pattern example, having an engraved crest, hallmarked James England, Dublin 1819, and further marked West, an Irish provincial example having bright-cut floral decoration, hallmarked probably Cork and with maker's mark in script P H Muller, an early Victorian Queen's pattern example, Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London 1838, and a mid-Victorian King's pattern example, Chawner & Co., London 1870. Gross weight 6.47 ozt (201.1 grams). (4).

Condition Report
The lot is in overall good to fair condition with each pair of tongs displaying general light wear and rubbing with few small areas of tarnishing commensurate with age and use. All examples having an engraved crest or initials. Hallmarks are mostly clear and legible although rubbed and slightly indistinct to Irish provincial example.
