A small Edwardian silver purse of oblong form with attached chain and finger-ring, decorated with scrolls surrounding a central cartouche with engraved monogram, opening to reveal a concertina lined interior, hallmarked D Bros, Birmingham 1908, length measures 3 7/8 inches (10 cm). Together with a silver purse of rectangular form with attached chain and finger-ring, engraved with bow and garlands suspending a swing-handled basket and flowers above initials, opening to reveal a concertina lined interior, hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd., probably Birmingham 1902, length measures 3 2/8 inches (8.5 cm). Gross weight 4.6 ozt (145 grams). (2).

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both lined interiors in good condition, one with four compartments, one with three. Both shut fully flush and clasps in working order, heavier tarnishing and scratches to the smaller example, requires a polish. Monogram probably NL, initials read GE. The hallmarks on the smaller example are heavily worn and rubbed apart from the maker's mark, all other hallmarks clear and legible.
