Lot Description
An early nineteenth century silver retractable pencil, with engine-turned and foliate chased decoration, hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co., London 1830, length fully extended measures 4 3/4 inches (12 cm). Together with a selection of novelty and small silver items to include an Edwardian foliate engraved napkin ring, a further engine-turned napkin ring, a 1930's silver sifter spoon, a silver cheroot holder, five miscellaneous trinket boxes, a manicure tool and a silver medallion for Beijing Amusement Park. Gross weight 7.82 ozt (243.2 grams).

Condition Report
In varied state, all items in the lot displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some with surface dints, mainly the cheroot holder and some of the trinket boxes. Also splits to some of the boxes. The retractable pencil appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying a few minor surface dinks and rubbing to hallmarks. Appears to function but missing lead.
