Lot Description
Two Edwardian silver engine-turned cigarette cases with chamfered edges, one of plainer form, both initialled and with personal inscriptions to the silver-gilt interiors, hallmarked Albert Henry Day, Birmingham 1946 and J T Deeley Ltd., Birmingham 1947. Maximum length of larger example measures 5 5/8 inches (14.3 cm), gross weight 13.2 ozt (412.8 grams).

Condition Report
Overall in good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some loss of definition to the silver-gilt around the interior outer edges, minor dents to the back of the larger example. Both shut fully flush. Initials on smaller example within a rectangular cartouche, larger example diagonally engraved with 'H. W. K.' to the top left corner. Inscriptions and hallmarks are clear and legible.
