Lot Description
A late nineteenth century blue glass scent phial of bullet shape with silver screw lid, hallmarks distorted but possibly Charles May, Birmingham 1892. Together with a similar ruby glass example with white metal mounts. Length of both measures 4.2 cm. (2).

Condition Report
Both display general wear, surface marks and scratches. Tarnishing to metal mounts. There are a number of dints and bumps to the silver lid of the blue glass example and a small hole in the metal in between the maker's mark and main hallmarks. A few minor chips/nibbles to glass, mainly the tip of the blue glass. Hallmarks are worn and distorted. Metal mounts on the ruby glass example are unmarked.
