Lot Description
An Edwardian silver cased green glass scent bottle, the case having dual vacant cartouches flanked by two birds amidst scrolling foliage, the hinged cover opening to reveal the removable green glass scent bottle. Hallmarked Henry Mathews, Birmingham 1906. Height of case measures 3 1/8 inches (80 cm), weight of case 36.1 grams.

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The scroll clip to the hinged cover has been repaired and re-soldered, now sits off centre. Minor dents and bumps, noticeable to the hinged cover. Both cartouche are vacant. Rubbing and wear to the decoration, and a couple of pin holes have worn through. Minor abrasions and nibbles to the glass bottle and noticeable chips to the stopper. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
