Lot Description
A George III silver snuff box, of rectangular form having a chevron textured exterior and with a vacant cartouche to the hinged cover, opening to a gilt interior, hallmarked T S, Birmingham 1825, length measures 2 3/8 inches (6 cm). Together with a mid-Victorian silver vinaigrette, having a scalloped rim and ribbed exterior with an engraved cartouche to the hinged cover, opening to a gilt interior having a further hinged pierced grill, Birmingham 1855, 2 6/8 inches (7 cm). Gross weight 3.08 ozt (95.9 grams). (2).

Condition Report
The snuff box is heavily worn and rubbed causing loss loss of definition to the exterior and with a small dint to the cover, the hinge is in good working order and the interior with wear to the gilding and general surface scratching. The vinaigrette has light rubbing and surface scratching to the exterior, hinge is in good working order although the cover does not hold closed, interior gilding is in fair condition with minor wear and general surface scratching. Hallmarks to each are worn and makers mark to vinaigrette is indistinct.
