A George III large silver vinaigrette by John Shaw, the reeded oblong form with initialled cartouche and opening to a silver-gilt interior with foliate pierced grille. Hallmarked John Shaw, Birmingham 1813. Length measuring 5.2 cm, weight 44.5 grams.

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Grille a little concave. Hallmarks are positioned to the inner rim and a little distorted. Hinges in good working order. Lid slightly rising from the closed position.
