A Victorian silver vinaigrette, the scroll edged oblong form engraved to the front with a view of the Scott Monument in Edinburgh, having foliate decoration to the base surrounding an initialled central panel, the hinged lid opening to a silver-gilt interior with a floral scroll pierced grille. Hallmarked James Fenton, Birmingham 1871. Measuring 4.5 cm by 2.5 cm, gross weight 19.7 grams.

Condition Report
The vinaigrette appears in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratching. Some tarnishing. The hinges appear in good working order. Residues of dirt and polish to interior and grille, and would benefit from a clean, also a few heavier scratches to the base. Hallmarked to the interior and mostly clear and legible. No hallmarks to grille.
