A Victorian silver vinaigrette, the small oblong form with reeded edge and florally engraved within stippled borders and opening to a silver-gilt interior with pierced grille. Hallmarked William Simpson, Birmingham 1840. Length measuring 2.5 cm, weight 6.9 grams.
