A Victorian silver vinaigrette, the oblong form with reeded decoration, floral rim, central applied cartouche engraved with a Baron's crown above 'S' and opening to a silver-gilt interior with personal inscription, missing grille. Hallmarked Edward Edwards II, London 1842. Length measuring 3.8 cm, weight 27 grams.

Displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Missing grille. Hinge in good working order. later attached suspension chain with drilled hole, wire pushed through and soft solder. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
