Lot Description
A late Victorian silver shell dish raised on three ball feet, hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham 1899, maximum length measuring 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm). Together with an Edwardian silver caster, of plain octagonal form to a conforming foot and the removable cover with stylised foliate piercing, hallmarked Jay, Richard Attenborough Co Ltd., Chester 1909, height to finial measuring 7 1/2 inches (19 cm). Weight 7.76 ozt (241.3 grams). (2).

Condition Report
Both items display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Both also display a number of minor dints and bumps. The shell dish split on the rim either side of the handle. The caster wobbles. The caster also with a number of holes particularly to the waist edge. Both would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks worn to the shell dish.
