A George III silver sauce boat by Hester Bateman, the oval body embossed with floral swags, punch-work beaded rim, high scrolling handle and standing on three shell mounted hoof feet. Hallmarked Hester Bateman, London 1786. Maximum height measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm), weight 3 ozt (94 grams).

Condition Report
The sauce boat displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches. Some rubbing with loss of detail to the embossing. Vacant cartouche. Feet a little pressed into the body. Hallmarks somewhat rubbed but clearly legible.
