Lot Description

A George III silver sauce boat, of shallow form having a beaded rim and foliate capped scrolled handle, the whole raised upon three anthemion capped feet. Hallmarked London 1793, probably Peter & Ann Bateman. Length measures 7 inches (18 cm), weight 6.13 ozt (190.7 grams).

The sauceboat is in overall good to fair condition with general light rubbing and surface scratching. Minor distortion to feet and tarnishing beneath. Maker's mark work but still partly legible, other hallmarks are clear.
