Lot Description

A George III silver mug, having a presentation engraved shield cartouche and decorated with alternating ribbed and later florally chased bands to the tapering body with further chasing to the handle. Hallmarked London 1796. Height measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm), weight 13.55 ozt (421.6 grams).

The mug is in good condition with minor wear and rubbing plus a few small scratches. The chased decoration is in good clear condition. The hallmarks are slightly worn but still legible however there is no maker's mark visible.
