A George III silver open salt by Hester Bateman, the oval body with vertical pierced gallery, beaded rim, crested and standing on four claw and ball feet. Hallmarked Hester Bateman, London 1780. Maximum length measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm), gross silver weight 1.5 ozt (48 grams).
