Lot Description
A mid Victorian gold garnet snake necklace. The snake head and serpentine tail, with scrolling foliate engraving and garnet highlight, suspending a similarly-set heart locket, to the snake-link chain. Length 38cms. Weight 31.2gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and small dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>The glazed panel to the back of the locket is loose.
<li>One of the 'scales' on the link chain is deficient.
<li>Garnets in good to fair condition with some abrasion and scratches to the surface, possibly replacements.<p>
<li>Length of snake head and locket drop section 6.2cms.
