An Edwardian 18ct gold opal three-stone and diamond ring. The three graduated oval opal cabochons, with old-cut diamond double spacers and grooved shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Hallmarks for Chester, 1902. Ring size O. Weight 7.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li> Opals well matched. <p>
<li> Opals white, with a fairly good play-of-colour and a range of hues, including greens and orangey-reds.<p>
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li> Diamonds bright.<p>
<li> Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen fairly easily under magnification, some of which are surface reaching. <p>
<li> Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li> Opals in fair condition with some surface abrasion and scratches. <p>
<li> Diamonds in mostly good to fair condition, with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. One has a surface reaching inclusion to the edge, which could result in a future durability issue. <p>
