Lot Description

A pearl and diamond pendant. Of openwork design, the cultured pearl with rose-cut diamond cap, suspended from a rose-cut diamond scrolling foliate panel with pearl and old-cut diamond highlights. May be worn as a brooch. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 1.20cts. Portuguese marks. Length 5.2cms. Total weight 15.7gms. Pearls untested.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Slight pitting, possible small repairs.

<li>Some probable replacement gems, noticeable wear and/or rough areas to some mounts.

<li>Diamonds well matched.


<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Rose-cut diamonds appear less bright.

<li>Some surface reaching features.

<li>Old-cut diamonds with some small chips.

<li>Pearls untested for natural origin.

<li>Cultured pearls are a light slightly greenish blue hue, fair lustre, uneven surface, semi-baroque.

<li>Approximate diameter of pearls 8.5 and 7.8mms.
