A late Victorian gold amethyst brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, with split pearl and bi-colour foliate surround. Approximate dimensions of amethyst 29 by 21 by 14mms. Length 4.7cms. Weight 21.4gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li> One gold bead detail deficient. <p>
<li> Possible replacement stone. <p>
<li> Area of discolouration to the reverse.<p>
<li> Replacement pin. <p>
<li> Split pearls with slight yellowish greyish white lustre. <p>
<li>Amethyst medium purple, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li> Amethyst with fingerprint inclusion visible with magnification.<p>
<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
