Lot Description

A Cased Mayor's collar for the city of Coventry, suspended on a blue ribbon the 9ct gold pendant modelled as a coat of arms embellished with enamel and within a diamond and green gem-set border, engraved to the reverse 'Councillor Philip Robinson, J.P. Lord Mayor of Coventry 1981-82 20th May 1982.', and within fitted case. Hallmarked Birmingham 1981. Gross weight of pendant 35 grams.

The pendant displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Loss of enamel to the crossed swords and a probable repair to the enamel on the cat. Two diamonds missing with paste replacement (one clearly glued). Hallmarks are clear and legible. Case may not be original.
