Lot Description

A rare brass equinoctial compass and sundial by Dolland of London. The hinged 6-inch sundial ring, engraved 'Dolland * London' in cursive script, with Roman numerals framing folding gnomon, beside further folding 60-degree scale, the recessed 4-inch silvered main dial with bubble spirit levels to N and E, the whole raised on three screw-thread supports for mounting, 6" diameter x 2.25" high, (15cm x 5.5cm).
