A good late 19th century lacquered brass gorge-cased repeating carriage clock with alarm. The white-enamelled dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes over subsidiary Arabic alarm dial, the two-train movement with lever platform escapement, numbered 3424, striking on a coiled blued steel gong and stamped F. D. to gong block, the case with large bevelled glazed roof panel, also numbered 3424 beneath, 5.5", (14cm) high excluding handle, in original travel box with numbered winder.
