Lot Description

A late Victorian peridot and diamond pendant. The circular-shape peridot, suspended from a rose-cut diamond scrolling foliate and circular-shape peridot panel, with detachable replacement trace-link chain. May be worn as a brooch. Length of pendant 5.5cms. Length of chain 42.7cms. Weight 16.6gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Small areas of possible repair.

<li>Large proportions of the necklace is made of white metal believed to be silver, a thin layer of what is believed to be gold on the reverse.

<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>

<li>Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Peridot medium yellowish-green, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
