A late Victorian 15ct gold pearl fly brooch. Designed as pearl body, with engraved wings. Length 1.7cms. Weight 3.2gms. Pearls untested.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li> Pearls are not very well matched for size and shape. <p>
<li>larger pearl has an irregular shape - creamy yellow body colour with rose and olive overtones. <p>
<li> Centre pearl is a dark brownish yellow colour, with typical surface features.
<li> One Pearl used to be a 'bead' and has been sawn in half. <p>
<li> Untested for natural origin <P>
<li>Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
