ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Submariner bracelet watch. Circa 1965. Stainless steel case with calibrated bezel. Reference 5513, serial 1235372. Signed automatic calibre 1520. Black "Bart Simpson" dial with luminous hour markers and gilt accents. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterclasp. 39mm.<p>
<p>The last of the 5513 gilt gloss dials before the change to matte black, the distinctive shape of the Rolex coronet lends it the name 'Bart Simpson' The points are shorter and thicker than previously with a noticeable rise from left to right at the base of the points.

<li>Movement is currently functioning.
<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
<li>Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. Some reapplication of the luminous material on the hour markers.
<li>Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing.
<li>Glass has scratches and marks.
<li>Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Rotating bezel rotates.Luminous pearl on the bezel appears to have broken at some point previously.
<li>Crown screws down and has scratches and marks.
<li>Bracelet has scratches and some signs of stretching to links.
<li>Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks.
<li>Bracelet measures approximately 17cm including case.
<p>This lot does not come with box or papers but does include a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterclasp numbered 6636 with end links 80.<p>
