A 19th century miniature oil painting upon copper panel, depicting two young ladies seated beneath a tree reading from a book, within ebonised wall hanging frame, 4" x 3.25" (10cm x 8.25cm).

Some signs of surface wear, with scratches and crazing. Some signs of over painting.
Believed to be upon a copper panel however this is sealed by a heavily glued backboard within its frame which we can not remove. Backboard not original.
