Lot Description

A Jaeger LeCoultre 'Marina' mantel clock with original box. The back-wound jewelled in-line timepiece movement with gilt brass drum, the lucite casing having a stepped 4-inch dial with baton markers and pierced lozenge hands, with black-ground panel finely decorated in relief with a chinoiserie scene of a female figure beside a tree in a landscape, inscribed 'Marina' lower right, on stepped gilt brass base numbered 349 beneath, 8.5" wide x 6.25" high, (21.5cm x 16cm), in original gilt-stamped black morocco box with branded hinged lid enclosing branded cream silk lining.

Very slightest bloom to left edge and to upper right corner of of black panel (not to clear lucite). Further slight marks to lower edge. Very light (superficial) scratches which would polish out. Postcode written in indelible pen to rear, needs cleaning off. Tiniest scuffs to corners of travel box.
