A George III Scottish silver soup ladle with crested and pointed terminal. Hallmarked Alexander Spence, Edinburgh 1793, also stamped 'DM'. Length measures 14 1/4 inches (36 cm), weight 6.5 ozt (205 grams).

Displaying light general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Large patch of discolouring to the bowl - quite possibly a solder repair. Further patina to the underside of the bowl. A little rubbing to the heel definition. Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible.
