Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The silver-gilt bowl of the berry spoon is fairly dull, also engraved to the reverse of the stem. The George III sugar tongs are engraved with 'F.M.J?', no town mark assumed London. The silver of the other pair of tongs is quite thin and slightly mis-shaped and is only hallmarked with the lion passant and maker's mark 'T W'. The coffee bean spoons are hallmarked Birmingham 1934, one dated 1933. The enamelled red shield on the caddy spoon is applied with a slight gap between the terminal, would benefit from a clean and polish. The button hooks and glove stretchers all have vacant cartouches with steel hooks and stretchers, evidence of rusting. Hallmarks rubbed and worn but majority still legible.
