A George III plain silver beaker, the slightly tapered form with crest engraving to one side depicting a lion standing on a crown with outstretched paws, one holding a dagger and the other a fleur-de-lys, gilded interior. Hallmarked London 1798, maker's mark worn, letter W partly visible. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 5.76 ozt (179.2 grams).

Condition Report
The beaker appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general expected tarnishing, wear, surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Heavier wear around the rim with a few edge nicks and rubbing to gilding. Also heavier wear around base rim. Hallmarks are clear and legible but maker's mark partly obscured.
