Lot Description

A 1970's cased silver condiment set compromising a pepper pot, open salt and mustard pot, each of oblong form with gadrooned rim border, raised upon four pad feet, two with blue glass liners, hallmarked J B Chatterley & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1976. Together with two silver condiment spoons, hallmarked Birmingham 1973 and Sheffield 1975. Gross weight exclusive of blue glass liners 4.17 ozt (129.8 grams).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The mustard pot and open salt has blue glass liners present. The pepper pot has minor bumps and dents to the body, does not stand level, slight wobble. Small marks and areas of heavier tarnishing to the interior of the open salt. Some marks, scuffs and residue to the fitted case, the hinge locks appear slightly rusted. Remnants of polish visible. Hallmarks clear and legible.
