Condition Report
In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor loss of definition to the engine-turned decoration. The 1920's example has a rubbed initialled cartouche which is engraved 'J. M.', the base has pen marks, the silver mount is slightly loose to the interior, the hallmarks are rubbed and worn, date letter still partly legible and top of the maker's mark is visible possibly William Neale & Son Ltd. The 1980's example would benefit from a clean and polish, additional felt lined box present for the interior, remnants of polish visible, minor dent to the body near the corner, hallmarks clear and legible.
