Lot Description
A small selection of silver to include a mid-Victorian part set of eleven silver-gilt teaspoons, each with a semi-nude neo-classical figure amidst flowers to the terminal, hallmarked Henry William Curry, London 1874. Together with a late Victorian silver vesta case, the oblong form with engraved leaves surrounding a vacant shield cartouche, hallmarked Chester 1900, a further silver vesta case, the slightly curved engine-turned form opening to reveal two compartments, Birmingham 1922, a William IV silver condiment spoon and small circular box with oriental portrait. Gross weight 10 ozt (312.5 grams).

Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The silver-gilding on the teaspoons is fairly worn and tired. The hinge on the Victorian vesta case is loose and has a vacant cartouche, the Birmingham vesta case has a vacant cartouche. The circular box is marked 'Gazdar silver' and the portrait appears to be on painted ivory but the piece has moved within the silver lid. Majority of the hallmarks clear and legible, the maker's mark on the Victorian vesta is distorted ?&S and the other hallmarks have been clipped along the top.
