An early twentieth century small silver toast rack, the five bar arched form with central ring handle and raised on an openwork oblong base, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1911, maximum length measuring 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm). Together with a silver ashtray of circular form having foliate piercing to the lobed rim and a removable grille section with cigarette rests, hallmarked Henry Wigfull, Sheffield 1906, maximum diameter measuring 5 inches (12.7 cm), weight 7.34 ozt (228 grams). Condition Report
Both pieces appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints/knocks. Residues of polish. Some heavier wear and contact marks around base rim and underside of ash tray. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
