Lot Description
A late Victorian set of six silver teaspoons each with beaded rim stems and terminals in fitted case, hallmarked James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler, London 1889. Together with a cased set of twelve silver teaspoons with heart shaped bright-cut terminals and a pair of sugar tongs, hallmarked Allen & Darwin, Sheffield 1918, three spoons and the tongs dated 1917. Gross weight 6.87 ozt (213.9 grams). (2).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some dents, bumps and scratches to the case of the Victorian set, push button lock in working order, shuts fully flush. Some damage to the case of the twelve teaspoons by the push button, shuts but not flush, some of the casing has rubbed around edges and corners. No personal engravings. Hallmarks clear and legible, some maker's marks slightly rubbed.
