A good group of two oak Atlantes and a Caryatid. Possibly early to mid 17th century, each carved as a waist-length figure, the outer pair with moustache and beard, the central female bare-breasted, beneath fruiting capital on acanthus-carved pedestal with flowerhead surmount, each 4.75" wide x 23" high, (12cm x 58.5cm), conjoined in a later triple framework, 14.5" x 24", (37cm x 61cm) overall, (3).

Condition Report
Nail holes and splits/cracks commensurate with age. Have probably been cleaned and waxed - colour is lighter than expected (more akin to Victorian copies) but depth and quality of carving appear consistent with greater age. Framed as a group in mid 20th century. Some glue residue verso.
