Lot Description
A mid 20th century cultured pearl single-strand necklace. Comprising sixty-nine cultured pearls, measuring 8.5 to 8.8mms, with a circular-shape sapphire and cultured pearl openwork clasp. Clasp with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1990. Length 37.5cms.

<li> Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li> Cultured pearls slightly yellowish creamy-white, pink overtones, and fairly good lustre. <p>
<li> Sapphires dark blue, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li> Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
<li> Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source. <p>
