A 1940s diamond and ruby double clip brooch. Of tri-colour design, each clip comprising a circular-cut diamond flower, with similarly-cut diamond and vari-shape ruby bud surrounds, gathered to a calibre-cut ruby stem and vari-cut diamond ribbon, one clip with bird accent. Estimated total diamond weight 3cts, H-J colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Length 8.5cms. Weight 55.4gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, minor discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of most diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Diamonds graded within the limitations of the mounts, some grades may vary.
<li>Rubies are a well matched slightly purplish red hue, the various cuts varying in tone and saturation.
<li>Pear-shape ruby estimaqted dimensions 7 by 6.5 by 3.5mms.
<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
<li>Bird probably deficient gem from its eye, moderate discolouration to the bird, possibly re-attached.
<li>Sapphire is a light medium blue hue.
