A 1940s gold ruby and diamond feather brooch. The calibre-cut ruby quill, with single-cut diamond accent scrolling vane. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length of brooch 5.2cms. Weight 18.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Some soft solder repair visible to the reverse.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Chips to some diamonds visible with magnification.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Ruby medium pinkish red, moderate saturation of colour, with fair clarity and typical inclusions visible with the unaided eye.<p>
<li>Stones in fair to poor condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Chips visible to some rubies.<p>
