Lot Description

A 1920's silver twin-handled tray, the oblong form having a curved rim decorated with repeated oval patera motifs and enclosing a plain centre. Hallmarked Frank Cobb & Co Ltd., Sheffield 1927. Length including handles measures 24 1/2 inches (62.2 cm), weight 73.78 ozt (2295 grams).

The tray appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying expected wear and tarnishing. Numerous surface scratches and contact marks are visible to the plain centre and also to the underside, especially around the edge. No personal engravings. Some rubbing and slight loss of detail to decoration around the rim. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
