Lot Description
A late Victorian silver inkstand, the octagonal sided base raised on four ball feet and rising to a conforming shape ink pot having a hinged lid with baluster finial, missing glass liner. Hallmarked George Fox, London 1890. Maximum height to finial measures 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), gross weight 12.98 ozt (403.7 grams).

Condition Report
The ink stand displays some general wear and tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface marks and scratches and some minor dints. Possible repairs to feet and slight impressions visible to the other side. Hinged lid appears in good working order. Full hallmarks to the underside and part hallmarks to lid, these are clear and legible. Some distortion to both maker's marks. Missing glass liner.
