An Edwardian silver desk inkstand, the oblong form with pierced surround, gadroon border, duel glass inkwells and pen rest. Hallmarked H Greaves Ltd, London 1905. Length measuring 9 1/2 inches (24 cm), gross weighable silver 18.4 ozt (573 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Glass with minor chips. Corresponding hallmarks to the inkwell mounts. Hallmarks vary a little but mostly clear and legible. Gadrooning with some loss of definition. No personal engravings.
