Lot Description

A silver Tiffany & Co tea caddy, of circular bulbous form with central embossed foliate banding to the lower body and removable lid. Stamped Tiffany & Co, alongside '7158 Makers 6170 Sterling silver 925-1000' to the base. Height measures 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm), weight 7.24 ozt (225.3 grams).

Total lot weight: No

The caddy appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and nicks. Also some tarnishing. Several small surface dints and bumps throughout and heavier contact marks around the base rim. The lid appears to be a good fit. There is some light rubbing to embossed decoration, mainly on the lid, but the overall condition is good. Maker's marks and pattern numbers are located to the base, they are a little rubbed but still clearly legible.
